Question by Greg H: What can I do about my Accutane Dryness?
My face is extremely dry from my Accutane. Everytime I wash it, it burns, and during classes I keep asking to go to the bathroom, to dampen my face with water. What moisturizure should I use?

I’ve found Eucerin to be a terrific moistuizing/ non-irritating product.

My favorite lotion is Aveeno. Get the 24 hour moisture one it works very good. It sounds like you should talk to your doctor though if it’s drying out your skin that much to the point where it burns. It’s probably way to strong for you! Call your doctor to figure something out, it’s the best way. =]

I’m on accutane also, and the best I’ve found is Eucerin calming cream lotion. It soaks in fast and won’t leave your face greasy looking. I’ve been using it for the past three months and my face hasn’t been very dry/red/irritating/burning/etc since. Putting the water on your face throughout the day is probably making your face drier. Good luck!
